Promotion of reflective elements for children. Photo report on the event “Light Up! Become more noticeable! Conversation with children on the topic: “Flickers save lives”

In order to reduce the number of accidents involving child pedestrians and to popularize the use of reflective elements by young pedestrians, information and propaganda campaigns “Light up, become more visible on the road!” are regularly held.

A reflector on clothing is today a real way to protect a child from injury on an unlit road. Its operating principle is based on the fact that light falling on a ribbed surface made of special plastic is concentrated and reflected in the form of a narrow beam. When a car’s headlights “snatch” even a small reflector, the driver sees a bright point of light from afar. Therefore, the chances that a pedestrian or cyclist will be noticed increase many times over.

For example, if the car has low beams on, the driver will see an ordinary pedestrian from a distance of 25-40 meters. And the use of a reflector increases this figure to 130-240 meters!

A small pendant on a cord or a badge on a pin is attached to clothing, stickers - on a bicycle, scooter, backpack, bag. At first glance, the reflector looks like a toy. But its use, according to road safety experts, reduces childhood injuries on the road by six and a half times! The reflector is not afraid of either moisture or frost - you can wear it in any weather.

Types of reflective elements

A reflective element is a product that is not a piece of clothing and is used as an aid to ensure the visibility of a person.

A suspended reflector (suspension) is a product suspended from clothing or a part of the body, which can be easily hung and removed if necessary.

A removable reflector (badge) is a product that is temporarily attached to clothing or worn on any part of the body and can be removed without the use of tools.

A non-removable reflective product (stickers) is a product intended to be permanently attached.

A flexible reflective product (bracelet) is a product that can be wound around a rod in any direction without visible deformation.

The area of the reflective element must be at least 15 - 50 square centimeters.

How to wear it correctly?

Reflective elements must be attached to outer clothing, backpacks, bags, bicycles, roller skates or baby strollers in such a way that when crossing or moving along the roadway, the light of car headlights hits them. It is recommended to attach reflectors to both sides of an object so that the reflector remains visible in all directions to those approaching. Now about the requirements for retroreflectors: there are no such requirements in the traffic regulations. Not in color, not in shape, not in size, not in location. The main thing is that reflective elements are present and visible to drivers.

Dear parents (legal representatives)!

We would like to inform you that from July 1, 2015 There have been changes in traffic regulations regarding the use of reflective elements.

draw your attention to on the need to purchase reflective devices (flickers) for children.
The use of reflective devices (flickers) is one of the measures to make a pedestrian visible at night. These can be both clothing items and specially made chevrons, stickers, badges, bracelets and pendants.

IMPORTANT! Clause 4.1. traffic rules: “When crossing the road and driving along the sides or edge of the roadway in the dark or in conditions of insufficient visibility, pedestrians are recommended, and outside populated areas, pedestrians are required to carry objects with reflective elements and ensure that these objects are visible to vehicle drivers.” In accordance with Part 1 of Article 12.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, a fine of 500 rubles is provided for violation of this paragraph

Reflective elements on children's clothing.

Pedestrians are the most vulnerable category of traffic participants. Last year alone, there were 72 thousand collisions with pedestrians in the country, which is more than a third of the total number of accidents. Every thirteenth person injured in a road accident is still a child. Therefore, parents should take additional safety measures. In those countries where the use of reflective clothing on children's clothing is mandatory, children's injuries on the roads have decreased by 6-8 times. This is a very important achievement; flicker is not just a shiny badge that makes a pedestrian noticeable. It creates a certain psychology that calls on a person to be careful. After all, even the color of clothing affects safety. It is very important for a pedestrian to be (visible). And not all parents understand this when choosing (practical) dark tones. But this makes the pedestrian almost invisible, especially in cloudy weather, at dusk. And most vehicle collisions with pedestrians occur precisely because of the actions of such an invisible pedestrian; vehicle collisions or collisions with various obstacles occur. The use of reflectors (reflectors) by pedestrians reduces the risk of a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian in the dark by more than 6.5 times. When driving with low beam headlights, the driver notices a pedestrian with a retroreflective element from a distance of 130 - 140 meters, when without it - at best, from a distance of 25 - 40 meters. When driving with high beams, it will notice a pedestrian at a distance of up to 400 meters

Dear parents! Let's protect the most precious thing we have in life - our future, our children!

Many manufacturers of children's clothing care not only about the beauty and convenience of their products, but also the safety of young pedestrians, using reflective elements: patterns on jackets, insert strips, etc. When choosing, give preference to these same models. In the absence of special clothing, it is necessary to purchase other forms of reflective elements that can be placed on bags, jackets or other items. Sleds, strollers, and bicycles should be equipped with the same safety elements. The shapes of the reflective elements are different. Signs and pendants are convenient because they can be easily moved from one garment to another. Self-adhesive stickers can be used on any surface (artificial leather, metal parts of bicycles, strollers, etc.), heat-activated ones are applied to fabric using an iron. There are also special reflective bracelets. Teach yourself and your children to use available safety equipment.

Dear parents! Teach your child the habit of following traffic rules. Make sure that your child “lights up” on the road. Take measures to ensure that your child has reflective elements on his clothes, making him very visible on the road. Remember - in dark clothes, a small pedestrian is simply not visible to the driver, which means there is a danger of being run over.

Relevance.

A large number of pedestrians die on the roads as a result of traffic accidents.

Our children are the youngest road users, but despite this, they should know and understand a lot about the dangers on the road. In our kindergarten, systematic work is being done to develop a culture of behavior on the road for preschoolers.

The main percentage of traffic accidents with fatalities for pedestrians occur at night. Our kindergarten is located in such a way that all exits from the preschool educational institution have access directly to the roadway; the preschool educational institution itself is located 50 m from the M-7 federal highway, which 40% of parents and pupils cross every day in the morning and evening on the way to the preschool educational institution and from preschool educational institution. Currently, due to the repair of the federal highway near the preschool educational institution, an extremely unfavorable situation has developed for crossing the highway. Therefore, there was a need to carry out work to enrich children’s knowledge of safe movement on city streets and increase the competence and responsibility of teachers and parents in the field of preventing children’s road traffic injuries.

Reflective clothing items (flickers) will help make pedestrians “visible” to drivers. The purpose of wearing such reflectors must be explained to parents who consider this unnecessary and unnecessary.

Flicker is a light reflector that can save a pedestrian on the road. Providing visibility in low light conditions, a reflector becomes practically the only way to identify yourself on the roadway. This problem is especially acute on poorly lit or completely unlit roads.

Unfortunately, many of our parents are not concerned about the safety of themselves and their children. According to the results of a survey conducted by educators at the beginning of the project, almost all parents know about reflective elements (flickers), but 90% of those surveyed (50 parents) did not have reflective elements with them.

Project outcome:

Children and parents actively participated in the “Become More Visible on the Road” project.

As a result of an express survey of parents at the beginning of the project, it was revealed that out of only 50 respondents:

9% (5 people) of respondents wear flickers themselves.

20% (10 people) answered what their child wears.

6% (3 people) reported that “the whole family wears it.”

90% (45 people) do not wear flickers.

4% (2 people) don’t even know what it is.

During the “Light up at the Crosswalk” campaign, flyers and booklets were distributed to city residents and parents, which encouraged adults to use flickers in order to improve road safety in the dark and in winter.

As a result of the campaign, all parents of the senior group purchased flickers for themselves, children and the whole family (50 parents out of 50), and the number of parents using reflective elements on their clothes in other preschool groups increased.

The teacher holds a flicker in his hands and asks the children:

What it is?

What is it for? Children say that this is a reflective strip, it is also called a flicker or a sticker, they come in different forms. They are needed in order to be visible in the dark.

What types of flickers are there? (Keychain, pendant, sticker, badge, sewn strip, bracelet)

(Reflective elements can be small keychains, badges or chevrons covered with light-reflecting material. They work on the principle of road signs: a special material is glued to the keychain, which returns light to the source).

What color should you choose flickers? Why? (White and yellow)

Children look at different types of flickers in the illustrations.

Target stock: clarification of the need for pedestrians to use when moving at night or insufficient visibility of objects with reflective elements, mass distribution of reflective devices among preschoolers.

Focusing parents' attention on the need to wear reflective elements (flickers) on children's clothing to increase safety in the dark, especially in autumn and winter;

Raising law-abiding participants traffic;

Increasing the effectiveness of work to prevent children road-transport injuries.

DEAR PARENTS!

What's happened flicker?

Flicker- these are reflective elements that are reflected in the light of a car's headlights and allow the driver to see a pedestrian (cyclist) in the dark.

A pedestrian equipped with a reflective element is visible from a distance of 150 meters, which means that the driver has much more time to react. The risk of an accident for a pedestrian without a reflector is ten times greater than for a pedestrian wearing a reflective element. The situation with pedestrian fatalities can be significantly improved by making pedestrians visible on on the road around the clock.

New rules traffic(traffic rules) are prescribed for pedestrians on the roadway or on the side of the road roads, in the dark, it is correct to mark yourself as reflective (NE) security elements. Failure to comply with this requirement may create an emergency situation. road. Outside populated areas, for violation - a fine or warning, and in cities and other populated areas - this norm will remain advisory. These changes to the traffic rules came into force on July 1, 2015.

It is YOU, PARENTS, who can and should explain to your children how important it is to follow the rules traffic. Wear reflective elements so drivers can see you and your baby from afar.

REMEMBER! A CHILD LEARNS THE LAWS ROAD LEADING TO THE EXAMPLE OF FAMILY MEMBERS AND OTHER ADULTS. DO NOT SPEND TIME ON TEACHING CHILDREN BEHAVIOR ON THE ROAD. TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHILD! TRY TO DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO PROTECT HIM FROM ACCIDENTS ON ON THE ROAD!

Consultation for parents on traffic rules in kindergarten preschool educational institution “Reflective elements on children’s clothing”

Sent by: Leysan Gaisina

In connection with the entry into force on July 1, 2015. Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of November 14, 2014 No. 1197 regarding the use of reflective elements, in order to ensure the safety of students, we inform you of the need to purchase reflective elements.

In the winter season, when the morning and evening hours are twilight, the path of young pedestrians from home to school or kindergarten and back can take place outside of daylight hours. However, the child should always be visible on the road. Therefore, parents should take additional measures to ensure the safety of their child. Clothes, or rather their color and reflective elements, play an important role in this.

It is very important for a pedestrian to be visible. According to statistics, most vehicle collisions with pedestrians occur precisely because of poor visibility of pedestrians.

Many manufacturers of children's clothing care not only about the beauty and convenience of their products, but also the safety of the young pedestrian, using reflective elements: designs on jackets, insert stripes, etc. When choosing clothes for a child, preference should be given to these models.

In the absence of special clothing, it is necessary to purchase other forms of reflective elements that can be placed on a bag, jacket or other items. Sleds, strollers, etc. should be equipped with the same safety elements.

It is important to remember that when driving with low beam headlights, the driver notices a pedestrian with a reflective element from a distance of 130 - 140 meters, while without it - only from 25 - 40 meters. The safety of children on the roads largely depends on how responsibly car drivers behave, whether they follow all instructions and whether all rules are followed. The driver must pay particular attention to the road when driving in conditions of poor visibility: at night, during rain or fog.

In kindergartens and schools, classes and classes on road safety are held, during which children are taught the basic rules of behavior on the street and roadways, the meanings of basic road signs and marking lines are explained, and they are warned of what not to do. Studying traffic rules is the main measure designed to ensure the safety of children on the roads.

However, the participation of parents in ensuring road safety for children plays an important role. One of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of traffic accidents is to use reflective elements on your child's clothing or bag. Such an element (flicker) is made of a special material that has the ability to reflect headlight light at a distance of 130 to 200 meters. Reflectors can have any shape and be painted in any color, so they can easily be turned from a signaling device into a fashionable part of a child's clothing.

Reflectors of all types (pendants, badges, belts and stripes, stickers, reflective bracelets and keychains) Easily attached to sleeves or lapels of clothing or to a briefcase. Reflectors in the form of stickers, it is convenient to use thanks to the adhesive base, which reliably holds the signal element on any surface.

Reflective elements can be purchased at any stationery store, as well as in the “Vprok” chain of stores.

Let's make our world safer!

Pedestrians are the most vulnerable category of traffic participants. Last year alone, there were 72 thousand collisions with pedestrians in the country, which is more than a third of the total number of accidents. The morning hours are quite twilight, in the evening hours it is completely dark and at this time parents and children go to kindergarten and return home. Therefore, parents should take additional safety measures.

In those countries where the use of reflective elements on children's clothing is mandatory, children's injuries on the roads have decreased by 6-8 times. This is a very important achievement, because a flicker is not just a shiny badge that makes a pedestrian noticeable. It creates a certain psychology that calls on a person to be careful.

After all, even the color of clothing affects safety. It is very important for a pedestrian to be “visible”. And not all parents understand this, choosing “practical” dark tones. But this makes the pedestrian almost invisible, especially in cloudy weather, at dusk. And most vehicle collisions with pedestrians occur precisely because of poor visibility of people on foot. This especially often happens on poorly lit streets of cities, suburbs, and outside populated areas. There are often cases when, due to the actions of such an invisible pedestrian, vehicle collisions or collisions with various obstacles occur.

Many manufacturers of children's clothing care not only about the beauty and convenience of their products, but also the safety of the young pedestrian, usingreflective elements: patterns on jackets, insert strips, etc. When choosing, you should give preference to these models.

In the absence of special clothing, it is necessary to purchase other forms of reflective elements that can be placed on bags, jackets or other items. Sleds, strollers, and bicycles should be equipped with the same safety elements.

The use of retroreflectors (reflectors, flickers, etc.) by pedestrians reduces the risk of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian in the dark by more than 6.5 times. When driving with low beam headlights, the driver notices a pedestrian with a reflective element from a distance of 130–140 meters, when without it, at best, from a distance of 25–40 meters. When driving with high beams, it will detect a pedestrian at a distance of up to 400 meters.

In our kindergarten, in order to prevent injuries on the road and preventive work, a long-term plan for working with children was developed for each age.

In accordance with the plan, the following content of the work was implemented, which involved the introduction of the following forms of interaction with children and parents.

Conversation with children - “We need a reflector, we can be seen here, we can be seen there!”

GCD in the educational field “Social and communicative development” - “Become noticeable on the road, and your legs will be healthier!”

Consultation for parents “Buy flickers for your children, parents, let drivers see them on the road!”

Meeting with the traffic police inspector.

    Excursion to the roadway.

Family drawing competition on the theme “Road safety is our common cause.”

Memo “Be noticeable! Don’t play hide and seek with drivers!”

Making booklets – messages to parents “The brighter, the safer”

Family competition “Our family is the most noticeable.”

Holidays, entertainment and aid teams: “Become noticeable on the road”, “Green Light”, etc.

I would like to note that work with parents on the prevention of road safety and the use of reflective elements is carried out purposefully and systematically. The senior teacher and preschool teachers develop and distribute brochures, booklets, update and supplement information stands for parents.

The purpose of these events is to create a comprehensive system of work to prevent child road traffic injuries among the younger generation.
